Natural gas-operated cogeneration modules represent a very profitable investment. New cogeneration laws have changed the framework for their installation very favorably. (RD 436/2004). Investments can be rapidly paid back thanks to the possibility of selling up to 90% of the generated electric energy to the electric power systems at a good price, the exploitation of heat, and the use of exhaust gases to provide carbon dioxide to plants in the greenhouses.
